What Data We Collect

The Hula Binder™ stores data that your hālau chooses to enter, including:

• • Haumāna rosters and contact information
• • Event history and attendance records
• • Dues and tuition payment records
• • Lesson notes and curriculum documentation
• • Uploaded documents (waivers, forms, media files)

Data Protection

• • AES-256 encryption at rest for all stored data
• • TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit for all network communication
• • Row-Level Security (RLS) isolating each hālau's data — no hālau can access another's records

Infrastructure

The Hula Binder™ is built on Supabase, which is SOC 2 Type II certified and hosted on AWS data centers. Automatic daily backups are retained for 7 days, ensuring your hālau’s data is recoverable in the event of any incident.

Payment Data

All payment information is tokenized by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of payment security certification. We store only the last 4 digits of any card for display purposes. Full card numbers never touch our servers.

What We Do NOT Collect

The Hula Binder™ does not collect and will never ask for:

• • Social Security Numbers (SSNs)
• • Driver's license numbers
• • Bank account or routing numbers
• • Full credit card numbers

Your Data Will Never Be

• • Sold to third parties
• • Used to train AI models
• • Shared with advertisers
• • Used for tracking or behavioral profiling
• • Shared with any party without the Admin's written authorization

Breach Notification

In the unlikely event of a data breach, we commit to:

• • Notification to affected hālau within 72 hours of discovery
• • A full investigation report delivered within 30 days
• • All breach-related support and remediation provided at no cost to the hālau

Cyber Liability Insurance

Haumea Technologies LLC maintains cyber liability insurance to provide an additional layer of protection for the hālau we serve.
